Colorado man sentenced to max of 6 years in sexual assaults of two girls in Centre Co.

A Colorado man accused of sexually assaulting two young girls in Centre County was sentenced Friday, according to Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna.

Authorities say Desmond Boyer, now age 37, was sentenced to serve 3 to 6 years in state prison, followed by three years of consecutive probation, and must register as a lifetime sex offender.

Earlier this year, Boyer pleaded no contest to three counts of indecent assault and five counts of aggravated indecent assault, court dockets show, and all other charges were dropped.

The DA says Boyer is also prohibited from serving in any supervisory capacity over anyone under the age of 18 and is not permitted to any contact with the victims.

Police say Boyer allegedly "bribed" his victims with money and toys in exchange for their silence about the assaults.
