Bellefonte man, 76, dies from injuries sustained in Spring Township crash

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Spring Township Police Department say a 76-year-old man has died as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash last Friday afternoon.

Police say officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Blanchard Street around noon Friday for a report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries.

Authorities say Andrew Swarm, of Bellefonte, has died after being seriously injured in the crash.

Police add that a 31-year-old Bellefonte woman was also seriously injured in the crash.

The crash investigation is still ongoing.

911 officials in Centre County say two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Spring Township.

Authorities say crews were called to the scene, near the intersection of Blanchard Street and Meredith Lane, just after noon.

Officials say the roadway was blocked off, between North Harrison Road and Humes Road, for several hours.

Dispatchers say the two individuals were transported to UPMC Altoona, and their current condition is unknown at this time.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
